Spring 2011

Easter 2011:

Bran and Trey and most of their cousins! G&G Buttars always have a HUGE Easter egg hunt for the grandkids. It's awesome because I can bribe my boys the whole month before Easter that if they are not good they can't go to Grandma's Easter egg hunt!

Easter ties from G&G Ketterman. Bran went with a pink tie with blue polk a dots and Trey's has soccer balls on it.

DOUBLE TROUBLE!!!

Oh my! What to do with Trey and his cousin Ayda!
They got into Grandma B's game closet, and, well, they had FUN!

WHAT TO DO WITH THIS KID!

Trey slipped getting out of the tub and I was sure he needed stitches, but the doc just glued his owie up. It made for one stressful morning!

Speaking of Trey, he wanted to go outside, so I told him if he got dressed he could go outside. A few minutes later, I found him outside dressed like this! Yep, he has his vest, shoes, and a diaper on!!! I suppose that's all need to wear if you are a 3 year old! Don't worry, I made him go inside and put on pants and a shirt.

A MUCH NEEDED GET-A-WAY:

Brandon and I finally got to celebrate our 8th year wedding anniversary. It was actually in November, but I was so sick with this pregnancy that we didn't want to go anywhere.
So, G&G Buttars were nice enough to watch the boys for a long weekend and we when to Wolf Creek in Eden, UT. We spent most of our time watching the final season of Friday Night Lights. I must say it was quite an enjoyable weekend.
Happy 8th Brandon!!!

So, WHAT'S BRAN BEEN UP TO:

I'm a little late blogging about Bran and his adventures at the Little Gym, especially since it was last summer! But I just found this pic and wanted to post them. Bran got to take a sports class and he had a super duper fun time. I will need to get him signed up again this summer.

Bran with his Little Gym class and teacher Mr. Joe.

Now this is what Bran has actually been up to this spring...yep, that's him in the dentist chair breathing in some yummy cotton candy flavored laughing gas! I think it took about 4 two hour appointments to get all of his dental work done, which included getting a tooth pulled. Let's just say that he is brushing his teeth a little better these days!

Bran and his preschool teachers: Mrs. Hales and Mrs. Newitt.

Bran's preschool graduation. His teacher's are so awesome and give him a binder of all the things he did during the year plus they include pictures of Bran and his class. It is such a treasure to have that notebook. I can't believe Bran will be a Kindergartener this fall. He was so excited the day we registered him for Kindergarten, he told me it was the BEST day of his LIFE!

32 WEEKS!
I'm actually almost 36 weeks now! I am so ready for baby Camden to make his arrival. My doc put me on modified bedrest around week 32 because my blood pressure has been high, and let me tell you, there is nothing more unrelaxing than bedrest! It sounds like a fabulous idea, until you actually have to do it (especially if you have 2 little boys at home who like to fight and make messes!). Luckily though, bedrest has helped with my blood pressure and my last two doc appts. my BP has been elevated, but not as high as it had been. So we will see what this week brings, if it stays high they may take baby Camden a few weeks early (that wouldn't be so bad, would it?)!

Well next time I blog Camden will probably be here....I am SO EXCITED!

Did you know it's 2011! Jan. - Mar

Jan. 15th was Trey's big day!

That's right he turned 3.

He woke up to lots of presents and a super cool birthday hat!

He got an orange gun, a blue zhu zhu, and a Handy Manny computer.
Not to mention a Chuck E Cheese gift card, a Cars Garage, and Trios.

But what gave him the biggest smile was his Mickey Mouse Cupcake tower!
He's just like his momma with a major sweet tooth!

Trey's b-day party with his cousins had to get canceled the first time around due to a sick brother. But we made it up to him the following weekend with a trip to Training Table and Boondocks with Grandma/pa Buttars and several of his cousins.

Ahhh....Brother love!
They do have their moments of love...too bad they are only moments!

The boys and their Frosty the Snowman.
Trey cried when later that day Frosty started to melt and fell over.
It was so sad to see him look out the window and see the fallen Snowman.
His little lower lip started to tremble and he just couldn't hold back the tears.
It broke my heart.
Luckily he got over it pretty quickly.

I had to add this picture.
Trey sees his Daddy put a tie on every Sunday and insist he wears a tie too.
This particular Sunday I tried to tell him he didn't need a tie.
He insisted and he refused to tuck is tie into his sweater.
Pretty sweet look, Trey!

Finally, me! Yep, that's my 26 week baby BOY belly.
I'm so grateful I'm finally feeling good.
I was nauseous at the beginning of my pregnancy and then found out I had low iron, so I was completely tired and grouchy for a while.
Now, everything is under control, and I feel pretty great!
Can't wait till June.

Oh and one more thing.
Brandon turned the big 32 the beginning of March.
Trey and Branson were pretty bummed that Brandon's b-day party didn't include any Mickey Mouse cupcakes!
But, all in all, I think Brandon had a good day and got spoiled with some fun gifts and cards from the boys.

October - December 2010

I'm not very creative lately, so sorry for the lame post title, but hey, it's straight to the point!

Oct. 9th, Brandon and I found out we are PREGNANT! We had been trying for a few months so we were prepared and ready for a positive pregnancy test. I am due on June 22nd and we find out if it's a boy or a girl on Jan. 31st.
This pregnancy has been a bit different from my last two. I started having morning/all day sickness around week 5 and it tapered off around week 12. With Bran and Trey I was sick until about week 18. So my conclusion to this is that either a lot of prayers have been said in my behalf or this has to be a baby girl....guess I'll find out in January!

(Here's the test that made me SO HAPPY)

HALLOWEEN

Me and Julie at Witches Night Out at Gardner Village...we had a super fun time dancing the night away with some of our other friends. Have I ever mentioned how much I LOVE girls night outs, especially with my best friend, Jules.

My little Pirate and Scooby Doo all ready for Trick or Treating
Unfortunately, it started hailing right as Brandon got ready to take them out, so they just got to go to a few friend's houses...but I bought plenty of candy, so they didn't miss out on too much.

THANKSGIVING.
We went up to Logan for a Thanksgiving feast with the Funk family (that's Brandon's Mom's side of the family).
I love this pic of the boys and their Great Grandpa Funk teasing each other.
You are never too old or young to have fun.

My Grandma Ketterman
On Dec. 14th, my Grandma Ketterman passed away. I was fortunate enough to be able to fly home for her funeral and be with my family. I love my Grandma Ketterman. She was the most hardworking, giving, spiritual woman that I know. She is definitely the reason I have the gospel in my life today and what better gift could she have given me. I know my grandma is so happy now with a clear mind and being in heaven with all those who passed before her.

This is the last pic I took of my Grandma. It was taken this July.

Here are her surviving grandchildren.
Jerry, Nickcole, Me, and Danny

For those who are wondering, this is my bro. Danny.
(I had to throw this pic in to try and embarrass him!)

CHRISTMAS!

The boys had tons of fun riding on Santa's train at the Provo Mall.

They enjoyed making their Gingerbread House, well Bran did, Trey enjoyed eating all the candy!

They loved their new Christmas jammies.
But their favorite part of Christmas was playing with their cousins at Grandma/pa Buttars house.

(Can you tell I finally cleaned my camera lens!)

We are excited for the new year, so much will happen this coming year:
A new baby
Bran in Kindergarden
Trey in Preschool
and I'm sure much, much more.

Happy Holidays!

Bran's choice of jammies in the middle of July...CRAZZZYYYY!!! All summer long I had to beg him to wear short sleeve pj's.

Trey loves wearing Mommy's shoes!
I love this...Bran just face planted into the chair and fell asleep. Bran's 1st day of Preschool...We are so proud of you Bran.
Dinosaur Museum at Thanksgiving Point

Hogle Zoo
Total Boys...one day I was wondering why things were so quite and I came upstairs and found this. I love their Nintendo DS's!

Don't they just look like they belong...Hopefully one day they will be my little Aggies!

My beautiful friend, Janeece

Janeece we will miss our beautiful Cinderella. You are so beautiful inside and out. I learned so much from you and will miss you....Til we meet again, my friend. I love you.

Here is a post I copied from her Cinderella Blog.

A bit about me

February 6, 2009
I’m a stay-at-home mom of a 5 year old princess and a 2 year old prince. I’m married to my prince charming, and we all live together in our own little “castle” of sorts. I’ve always loved music whether I’m playing, singing, or dancing. I’m a very happy person, and being a cancer survivor, I have a great outlook on life. So, as you can see, playing the part of Cinderella is really not much of a stretch for me.
Having a little girl of my own, I can see first hand the excitement that a princess brings. I believe that every little girl should have the opportunity to have a princess come to her birthday celebration.

I absolutely love doing Cinderella princess parties. I’ve always been a bit of a romantic, so it’s no wonder that I’ve always loved the classic princess movies. Still, I probably would have never dreamed of doing what I do if it weren’t for these two specific events:

My little princess

My Little Princess

1. When my daughter was 3 years old, she saw a picture of me in my junior prom dress and asked me why I was dressed up as Cinderella. Minus the black choker and blue headband, I had to admit that there was a resemblance. So, that Halloween she talked me into dressing as Cinderella, and she dressed as Sleeping Beauty. We then attended our ward’s Trunk-or-Treat. Well, that led to the 2nd event.

2. That following summer, a friend from my ward was telling me how much she loved my Cinderella costume, and asked if I’d be willing to dress as Cinderella for her daughter’s princess birthday party. To be honest, I’d never heard of anyone doing that before, but it sounded like loads of fun, so I agreed. The party was so much fun. The girls were awe-struck. Especially the birthday girl. Still, I didn’t even think about doing this on a regular basis until my friend suggested it. After considering it for a while, I decided to give it a shot, and I’m glad that I did because this has been so fun and rewarding. My daughter absolutely loves it as well. She’s made me promise that I will be Cinderella on her birthday!

Janeece Elizabeth Bean

  • BORN: October 27, 1982
  • DIED: August 25, 2010
  • LOCATION: Spanish Fork, UT

Janeece Elizabeth Bean, our beautiful Princess, returned to Heaven on Wednesday, August 25, 2010 after a courageous battle with cancer.

Janeece was born October 27, 1982, in Richfield, Utah to Jack and Joyce Dean. She grew up in Glenwood, Utah and graduated from Richfield High School.

After graduating from high school Janeece went to U.V.U. where she graduated with an Associate’s degree.

Janeece married her eternal companion, Joshua Michael Bean on June 7, 2003 in the Manti LDS Temple. They became the parents of two wonderful children, Alivia 6, and Logan 3. Her greatest joy was being their mother.

She faithfully and lovingly served in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in the Young Women’s program.

Of her many talents and accomplishments, foremost was her love of music. Her angelic voice complimented her skills as a pianist. She used these talents to bring happiness to all around her, and especially to little girls for whom she created magical moments through her Cinderella birthday parties. Even as an adult, she retained a sense of childhood wonder when she became Cinderella for them.

For all of her outward beauty, she was even lovelier on the inside. In the relatively short amount of time she had with us, she lived life to the fullest. She touched the hearts of all who knew her through her courageous battle with cancer. She never gave up and always kept a positive outlook on life.

Janeece is survived by her husband, her children, her parents, Jack and Joyce Dean of Glenwood, her siblings, Richard (Dawn) of Hooper, Jackie (John) Harward of West Jordan, Joelle (Preston) Parker of Joseph, James of Ogden , and Dusty (Shikara) of Joseph. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Harold and Ida Brown, and Harvey and Blanche Dean.

Funeral services will be held on Monday August 30, 2010 at the Glenwood, Utah LDS Ward Chapel at 12:00pm. Viewings will be held on August 29 at the Walker Family Mortuary at 187 South Main Spanish Fork, Utah from 6:00-8:00pm and again on August 30 at the Glenwood, Utah LDS Ward House from 9:30-11:30am. Interment will be in the Glenwood Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations for funeral expenses can be made at any Mountain America Credit Union under the Janeece Bean Memorial Account.

Even though cancer took her from us, it could never take her from our hearts.

Vacation to NEW YORK and OHIO

We flew to Ohio on July 14 and the next day we headed up to New York to see the Hill Cumorah Pageant and church history sites. We were able to go to the Joseph Smith Home and the Sacred Grove.

Then we headed over to Niagara Falls and Brandon and I got to ride the Maid of the Mist.
When we got back from New York it was Bran's BIRTHDAY...He turned 5 on July 18! He got to have two full days of Birthday fun, which included a toy story cake, a trip to Chuck E Cheese and a pinata. Some of his favorite b-day gifts were a new DS and a real fur kitten.

Later that week we decided to check out a children's museum in Cleveland. It was pretty ghetto on the outside and we wondered if we should even go in...we decided to go in, and the kids were in LOVE! They had so much fun, they were totally bummed when we told them it was time to go.

But no worries, they had plenty of fun swimming and fishing at Grandma and Grandpa's house. Also, Grandma took the boys to the Dollar Store which kept them very happy.

We also had a lot of fun visiting with family (Great Grandma's Ketterman and George, Randy, Carla, and Jodi, Joyce, Nickcole and boys, and also Uncle Danny).

We flew home on July 24 and our boys did a great job flying...it was a fun vacation, but I guess it's time for real life now.....time to have responsibilities again!
